Chelsea Groton Bank Promotes 10

GROTON, Conn. – Chelsea Groton Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of 10 employees following a Board of Trustees meeting.

Jennifer DeLucia of North Franklin, CT, Controller, has been promoted to First Vice President. Jen joined the Bank in 2006 in a Financial Services administrative role and then transferred to the Accounting department in 2015. She progressed from Senior Accountant to Accounting Manager in 2017 and took on the role of Controller in 2022. Jen is a graduate of the Connecticut School of Finance and Management and the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut Leadership Program. In addition, Jen has a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Connecticut. Jen serves as secretary of the Three Rivers Foundation board of directors.
 
Sara Lundy of Oakdale, CT, Risk and Compliance Manager, has been promoted to First Vice President. Since joining Chelsea Groton in 2016, Sara has held roles of increasing responsibility in the Risk and Compliance department. Sara is a graduate of the Connecticut School of Finance and Management and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Thiel College along with a Master of Business Administration from New England College of Business and Finance. In addition, Sara completed the New England Leadership program and is currently enrolled in the Stonier Graduate School of Banking. Sara is the chair of the Montville Planning and Zoning Commission.
 
Maria Grenier of Scotland, CT, Deposit Operations Manager, has been promoted to Vice President. Maria joined the Bank in 2019 and has consistently sought opportunities to grow in her role and further her professional development. Maria is a 2020 graduate of the Connecticut School of Finance and Management and volunteers in various capacities at her local church. 
 
Kelly Meakem of Oakdale, CT, Digital Banking Operations Manager, has been promoted to Vice President. Kelly joined the Bank in 2008 as a teller and continued in the Retail Banking department until 2014 when she transferred to the Operations department. Kelly is a 2016 graduate from the Connecticut School of Finance and Management and received the Chelsea Award in 2014.  She received her bachelor’s degree in English from Eastern Connecticut State University.
 
Jennifer Willingham of North Stonington, CT, Cash Management Officer, has been promoted to Vice President.  Jen has been with the Bank since 2007, initially as a Branch Manager before transitioning to the role of Cash Management Officer in 2021. In partnership with the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut, she developed a Banker-in-Residence program. She serves as Treasurer for the Norwich Historical Society and volunteers for the Women’s Business Development Council.  Jen was a recipient of the Chelsea Spirit Award in 2013. She graduated from the Connecticut School of Finance and Management in 2017 and earned several certifications and diplomas from the Center for Financial Training. 
 
Tiffany McGlon of Ashaway, RI, Loan Servicing Manager, has been promoted to Assistant Vice President. Tiffany joined Chelsea Groton in the Loan Servicing department in 2024. She earned an associate’s degree from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. Tiffany actively volunteers in her community as a coach for her daughter’s sports teams and runs the youth programs at her local church.
 
Christen Brewer of Norwich, CT, Digital Innovation and Design Specialist, has been promoted to Assistant Treasurer. She joined Chelsea Groton in 2019 with many years of marketing experience. In addition to the design and digital marketing initiatives she leads, Christen regularly represents the Bank by participating in community parades and the Bank’s One Chelsea initiatives. Christen received her associate’s degree from Mitchell College in Graphic Design/Fine Arts and is an active board member of St. Vincent de Paul Place.
 
Alexandra Samoila of Southington, CT, Senior Credit Analyst, has been promoted to Assistant Secretary.  Alex came to Chelsea Groton in 2023 as a Credit Analyst II and was soon promoted to Senior Credit Analyst. She holds dual bachelor's degrees in business administration and Commercial, Domestic and International Financial Banking. She is fluent in Romanian and volunteers at the Romanian Community Church – Sf. Brancoveanu.
 
Alexis Smith of Gales Ferry, CT, Project Management Specialist, has been promoted to Assistant Secretary. Alexis joined the Bank’s Business Intelligence department in 2023. Alexis actively volunteers in her community at Bank-supported events such as Habitat for Humanity build days and the Mystic Irish Parade.  She received her bachelor's degree in communications from the University of Wisconsin.
 
Laura Velletri of Groton, CT, Accounting Loan Analyst, has been promoted to Assistant Secretary.  Laura joined Chelsea Groton Bank in 2021. She graduated from the American University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and is a graduate of the New England College of Finance. Laura participates in many Chelsea-sponsored events and has served on multiple boards including the Mumford Cove Association, Mystic Irish Parade Foundation, and A Child’s Garden Montessori School.
